Everything is easy on a spreadsheet
The numbers all line up and they make sense
They don’t consider weather or the blisters or exposure
Or the fact you missed your resupply and have to wait for opening hours…
Everything is easy from your armchair
I’m sure you’d do much better than I could (if you tried)
If only I would listen to the experts on this matter
On the internet, the internet, where everyone is right!
This silly little song came to me while I was crossing my i’s and dotting my t’s on my PCT planning spreadsheet, which will surely go out the window the moment I set foot on trail. I sure love having a plan, though!
I’m sharing it here A) just for fun and B) to create a test post for sharing updates from my phone on the PCT.
If you’re new here (like I am), welcome! Thanks for being part of my journey!
Below are a couple photos from pre-flight and from where I’m hanging out in Alpine, CA, about a 40 minute drive from Campo where the southern terminus is located.
Stay tuned for my first post from the trail!
Onward,
Liz (Mercury)
